Growing up, he attended the Colleyville Heritage High School in Colleyville, Texas, where he was born. After high school, he committed to playing college football at Eastern Michigan University for the Eastern Michigan Eagles. They were the only college football program to give him an offer.
From the 2015 season to the 2018 season, Crosby played for the Eastern Michigan Eagles. In both his junior season in 2017 and his senior season in 2018, he was selected as the First-team All-MAC.
